These are excellent teachers who work well with students wanting to learn a new instrument, learn for fun, or just brush up on old skills.
Copland’s Master teachers have attained at least a masters or a doctorate degree in music teaching or performing, they hold positions in higher-education, orchestras, and major studios, and have 10 years or more teaching experience. These teachers are equipped to teach students of all types and often specialize in teaching advancing students as well as young beginners.

Dr. Steven Brundage, Founder and CEO of Copland, values above all, the success of his students. To ensure this success, every Copland teacher has been vetted and selected because of their high teaching value.
All you need is a computer, smartphone, or tablet with a built in microphone and webcam. At the time of booking, you will receive a link to a student account from which you can access your lesson scheduling and link to your online lesson. If you want to ensure an optimal online lesson experience, we recommend connecting to WIFI for your lesson and using a smartphone with earbuds – eliminating disruptive audio feedback, improving the quality of sound, and ensuring a quality internet connection.
Your teacher will direct you towards what books to use or purchase. If you already have books in use for previous music study, your teacher may elect to use them during your Copland lessons.
Dr. Brundage takes a limited number of students each year. If you would like to discuss the possibility of studying with him, just email us at hello@coplandsound.com to discuss his availability.
Once you have completed your meeting and free lesson with your Copland teacher, you will either select a monthly subscription or a lesson package, your lessons will be scheduled, and you will receive an emailed invoice for upcoming lessons. Just click pay and make your secure payment online.
You can reschedule or cancel your lesson 48 hours or more in advance of your lesson by emailing us at hello@coplandsound.com. Lessons cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of the scheduled lesson time cannot be rescheduled or refunded.
Your success matters to us. To ensure that you are happy with your lessons and teacher, Copland provides every student with a free lesson and meeting with their Copland teacher before booking lessons. Once lessons are booked and payment is received, tuition is non-refundable.

We offer piano lessons in weekly 30 minute, 45 minute, and 60 minute sessions. Let us know what style of piano you’re interested in and we’ll pair you with the right teacher. If you’re not sure or if you’re a beginner, then we recommend a classic beginning piano. We highly recommend bundling lessons because we know that consistency drives skill and knowledge development, which leads to capability and enjoyment.

Copland violin teachers are experienced working with children through adults, customizing a program of traditional or Suzuki methods based on learning style, student age, and interest of each student. Each lesson is unique and engaging for all students as we help them achieve independence and confidence in their learning and playing. Violin lessons for children include learning fundamentals, such as posture, bow and left hand technique, and music reading. Fun songs and games are also added to keep students interested and engaged. We also love working with adult students. Adults new to playing the violin start with basic technique and music reading and progress to play repertoire from a variety of genres. Intermediate and advanced students are introduced to advanced techniques, scales, speed work, and more challenging pieces. Violin lessons also boost coordination, finger strength, self-confidence, self-discipline, and right brain power in all students!

Do you enjoy singing but lack the knowledge or confidence? Perhaps you are a more confident singer and wish to refine your craft. Either way, voice lessons may be a good fit for you. Copland voice teachers come with years of singing and teaching experience to assist you in your singing goals. Students can expect to develop a stable breathing technique, an awareness of unhelpful body tension, and an efficient support and placement system with the goal of bringing out the unique qualities of their individual voices. Students will also be coached on how to effectively approach and express songs they work on in lessons. Beginning to advanced students are welcome.
